Dr. Ferdousi Akter, Executive Director and Founder of CMG Research International Ltd., served as the National Consultant for a vulnerability and infrastructure assessment conducted for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Cox’s Bazar. The assessment examined how social vulnerability, safety, accessibility, and the physical condition of service facilities affected access to gender-based violence prevention and response, sexual and reproductive health, and psychosocial support services among displaced Rohingya and host communities.
As National Consultant, Ferdousi coordinated and facilitated the field-based research process. Her responsibilities included supporting the orientation and supervision of field teams, quality assurance of household survey data, facilitation of focus group discussions and key informant interviews, local-language consultation and direct review of community-based facilities. She engaged women, men, adolescents, persons with disabilities, gender-diverse participants, community leaders and service providers to ensure that different experiences and accessibility needs were represented.
