Biography
Naim Ahamed serves as Director of Organisational Development & Knowledge Management (Volunteer) at CMG Research International, where he leads the organization's operational development, organizational strengthening, and knowledge management initiatives. He is a Humanitarian–Development–Peace (HDP) Nexus professional with over 12.5 years of experience, including eight years in the Rohingya Response in Bangladesh. His expertise encompasses policy analysis (particularly social and migration policy), organizational capacity development, institutional strengthening, change management, localization, project and partnership management, coordination, and advocacy. He has extensive experience in mainstreaming safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), and social inclusion across age, disability, gender, and diversity dimensions.
Naim has worked across a broad range of programmatic areas, including social cohesion, peacebuilding, community engagement, community ownership, irregular migration, WASH, public health, social and behaviour change communication (SBCC), disaster risk reduction (DRR), and climate change. Through eight years of sustained field engagement, he has developed an in-depth understanding of the geopolitical, socio-economic, and humanitarian dimensions of the Rohingya crisis and its evolving implications at local, national, regional, and global levels. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sociology from the University of Dhaka and a Master of Arts in Social Policy from the University of Melbourne, earned through the prestigious Australia Awards Scholarship funded by Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
